“…From morning till evening he explained and declared to them the kingdom of God and tried to convince them about Jesus from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets.” Acts 3:28
Paul’s teaching of the Word included “explaining”, “declaring”, and “trying to convince”. These verbs describe how we should fit our teaching to the hearing and needs of our audience.
Our goal, whether on stage Sunday morning, or in a LifeGroup Wednesday evening, must be that people know the truth – that they understand it and all its implications and requirements. In fact we must make God’s truth so clear that they can see no other choice but to embrace it.
We must make God’s truth so clear that they can see no other choice but to embrace it!

It is so normal to give into your natural desires; many people do it all of the time. Join us Sunday as we learn how to stop doing what normal people do and get WEIRD, learn that God’s has something so much better in mind than our immediate desires if we will only wait on him.

Posted on Thursday, January 12th, 2012 at 12:27 pm in Leader To Leader, THINK ON THESE THINGS... by LarryYou ever had one of those days when you want to throw up your hands and quit. I think all of us at times have had what I call a “Solomon Day”; when we feel like it’s “Meaningless, meaningless, everything is meaningless” (Ecclesiastes 1:2). Yesterday I had one of those days.
But here it is; outward circumstances should never direct our actions…God should!
It all comes down to this, we can’t control what other people do or say to us or about us, but what we can control is how it’s going to affect our day. Even after yesterday I can still say, “Today is the day that the Lord has made and I will rejoice in it”.
The fact is, you will get knocked down, but as Christ followers we should always be up or getting back up. Today I’m getting back up.
Normal is job burnout, financial debt, divorce; let’s get ABNORMAL, let’s get WEIRD
Posted on Thursday, January 12th, 2012 at 7:59 am in THINK ON THESE THINGS... by LarryIn our world job burnout, financial debt, high divorce rates, bad relationships, make up most people’s lives; but there a way that is alien (1st Peter 2:11-12), a way not like the world. Join us Sunday as we start the series called “Weird” and learn to live life in a STRANGE, DIFFERENT, and BETTER way! Really, let’s get ““W.E.I.R.D.” and start being Walking Examples In Righteous Daily
If normal life isn’t workingfor you, get with us this Sunday and let’s get “W.E.I.R.D.”
Posted on Tuesday, January 10th, 2012 at 10:49 am in THINK ON THESE THINGS... by LarryAre you weird? For the first 25 years of my life I would’ve been offended if you called me weird; I wanted what normal people in this world wanted; money, big house, nice cars, nice clothes, and bigger toys. And I almost ended up like most people in the world, burned out, in debt, and divorced. Then something happened, I become an “alien”. (“…As aliens and strangers in the world… Live such good lives….” 1 Peter 2:11-12). Get with us this coming Sunday, get over normal, and get “W.E.I.R.D.” and start being Walking Examples In Righteous Daily
