“How many loaves do you have? Seven they replied”…Jesus on the day he feed thousands.
Great leaders always teach their followers to use whatever they have on hand. As a leader I have also learned the best way to grow God’s people is not for “me to do”, but to allow “them to do”, with what they have (Their gifts).
Paul gave resume requirements for Timothy and Titus as they were enlisting leaders (1st Timothy 3:2-4). When considering a leader in your business, or a LifeGroup, youth ministry, children’s ministry, whether paid or volunteer, the first thought should be, “How is the home life”. If a person doesn’t understand how to lead their own home, how can they lead others (1st Timothy 3:5).
Good leaders will embody, not merely teach what they believe, and that can been seen, good or bad, through their home life.
• Worship was great! Loving people loving God
• Baptism and testimony was beautiful
• Had a first time guest say “We have found our church home”
• I heard the baby shower was fun and such a blessing…baby coming soon.
• Worship team cook_out was a blast. Thank you Lori for all the effort and Chris for the location. We are blessed with people wanting excellence for God.
• Back packs and school items just keep rolling in…Giving out 200 completely filled back packs to kids that truly need them is our goal
No matter how creative we are at teaching our kids about the greatness of a relationship with God, they are more likely to believe it through their experience at home. Why, because incarnation (God fleshed out) trumps proclamation. The new series “Who’s Kiddin Who” starts in 2 weeks
Leaders add value to the people we serve, you will not believe how successful it makes you feel
So often I hear comments like this and don’t share them. So here are just a few more comments I got yesterday as people were leaving our worship experience.
• This is great, I will bring my kids back next week, they will really like this”
• Music was great today!
• This is what Church should be!
• I had no idea that a church could be as casual as LifePoint
• Great learning experience!
• This is a great Church!
• You really do put a lot into a worship service!
• Tough topic, addressing obesity and keeping a healthy body, did it with scripture and encouragement
Thank you and others that are reaching the lost and unchurched for God!
There was a feeling of excitement and anticipation. God was expected and He showed up. From Beetles, the muscle man, in the parking lot giving away water, Hanz and Franz pumping up the new series to the music…what about the song Lori wrote for the series “Power”; all God led, God inspired; God was pleased with His people’s worship yesterday.
In this “B90C: Total Body Fitness Plan” series I see 100’s becoming ripped for Christ, mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and social; growing and looking more like Christ than ever before!
